faceLITE has been tested and is compliant to international safety standards. Since the mask doesn’t cover the eyes; eye protection isn’t necessary.

No pain should be felt whilst using faceLite. The light penetrates the skin and stimulates the cells to work in a natural way. faceLITE is non-invasive and there is no heat and therefore the treatment is completely pain free.

DO NOT use faceLITE if you are taking any medication that can cause photosensitivity, have a photosensitive disorder or are pregnant or breast feeding. Photosensitivity (sensitization to light) is a common side effect of various medications and some herbal remedies. A List of medication can be found HERE.

Since faceLITE generates no heat, most people are suitable but there is a list of contraindications that should be referred to by anyone who is thinking of having a faceLITE treatment. View list of contraindications.

Yes, faceLITE can be combined with more invasive treatments such as botox, peels, injectables and laser resurfacing; it can help in the healing process and help to reduce bruising and swelling due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

No. The studies show it works without the hydrogel to stimulate collagen and the clinical studies show wrinkle improvement. The hydrogel does not improve the collagen production it is merely a boost for the hydration levels. The clinical results are achieved without.

You can but be aware that you may not be getting the full benefits of the LED mask. Other hydrogel masks do not have the correct mesh size or thickness to allow the light through.

Yes and we would recommend it alongside our cleanse and conditioner spray. The faceLITE helps reduce the inflammation and calm the redness while the cleanse and conditioner will help with the bacterial element of rosacea.

Our main aim is to treat wrinkles and we personally believe that blue light is best used in a professional setting using the correct eye safety.

Yes. Although we don’t use blue light usually associated with treating acne, we have still seen massive improvements. Again, we would suggest using alongside out cleanser for the bacterial element of acne and the LED mask will help with inflammation and redness. Red and infra-red can also help with any acne scarring used over a long period of time.

For the faceLITE LED mask to work it CANNOT be plugged into the mains. When fully charged unplug from the mains and press the on button on the controller. If it is still not working then you may have a faulty mask and will need to contact us via the website.

It’s 18 joules which is equivalent to the cumulative dose that Omnilux delivers if you use it 3x week for ten mins it’s the same as using Omnilux twice a week for twenty mins . Difference is how close to the face it is.

The faceLITE uses a lithium-ion battery rated at 9.62Wh / 2200mAH. If you are travelling by air, the battery should be carried in carry-on baggage and not checked-in. The device must be completely switched off.

We are FDA cleared. No LED device is ‘approved’ they are cleared.

This means we have carried out clinical trials using faceLITE on these specific wavelengths and energy output. faceLITE is the result of over 20 years’ experience in LED research. We were the people to first discover that red and infra-red together give the best treatment for wrinkles and we constantly do clinical trials to prove the efficacy of this device. Responsible LED companies should have their OWN data tested on their product.

None of our clinical trials are done on pregnant women so we do not know the affects it has on the baby. We have never heard of any adverse effects of LED and pregnancy but we cannot be sure.

Yes, there have been no reported incidents of light therapy affecting the thyroid gland. Recently a clinical study demonstrated that after a 16-week course of light therapy treatments of the neck, there were no changes to the morphology of the thyroid and parathyroid glands and no effect on Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) up to 6 months later.

LED bulbs themselves can last for 5-10 years, however we are unable to determine the life of the other elements, as it’s often determined by how the product is cared for. We offer a 2 year warranty which covers all areas of the mask, including the LEDs during that period.
